My Day Out Makeup Look – My First post back!

Hello! You’re probably wondering where I’ve been the last 3 months or so! It’s been a crazy summer but I’ve been focusing on my new business ‘Jo’s Makeup Fix!’ I’ve always loved makeup so finding a brand that I love and to sell it and pass on the love to others is what I love! I also love that the Younique Foundation is a fantastic cause and it creates a better place for many women. It’s helped my confidence and me grown as a person! I’m totally loving it and now want to share that with you again!

So for my first blog post in a while I wanted to do what I do best and what my most liked posts are, a makeup look! With so much more amazing makeup and shades I thought I’d share that here.

To start off with I create the perfect base with my Primer. The smallest pea size amount on my finger and it covers my whole face. This helps clear my skin and stops the makeup from clogging up my pores. It helps the makeup stay all day and also helps the makeup sit well on my skin. I also apply my eye primer, an even smaller amount on my finger tip and this will cover both eyelids. This seriously helps bring out the colours of eyeshadows once applied!

Concealer next and I apply my Mineral touch perfecting concealer in Organza. I apply this in a triangle under my eyes to brighten the area, and on any blemishes and spots. This is a fantastic product, it’s slightly thick but that means the application is fab! It covers up any redness and spots really well, and the tiniest bit goes such a long way that you’ll have this product for a long time! I use my Younique foundation brush to help apply my Mineral Touch Liquid Foundation in Velour. Just a couple of drops on the foundation brush with it’s pipet, will cover my face with great coverage. It’s easy to build and easy to blend in. For this look I’ve also applied my Touch Loose Powder Foundation in Crepe. This is great at adding that colour to my face and adding a little more coverage. It’s so light on my face it really doesn’t feel like there’s anything there! Sometimes a wear this by itself but for todays day out look I went for it and had both.

I went straight onto bronzer next, applying my Beachfront Bronzer in sunset. I love this bronzer, it’s the perfect shade and also has that slight shimmer to it, which is so pretty! I apply it in the 3 shape, under my cheek bones, along my hair line and under my chin. It really helps to define my face and add that sun kissed glow. Next I apply my limited edition pressed blusher in Spirited. This is such a lovely shade, but the blushers are so pigmented sometimes I apply too much! Just a little blending is usually required, but this shows how long it will be around, because you need the smallest amount each time! I applied this on my cheek bones because up next is my favourite highlight my Beachfront Kissed Belize Highlight. Gorgeous for the summer and so great when it catches the light! It lasts all day and I apply this just above the blusher on the top of my cheek bones. Occasionally I apply this on the bridge of nose and under my eyebrow too! Contour finished!

Now onto my eyebrows, which have been a little wild recently! Using my Moodstruck eyebrow obsession palette to tame them. Shades 1-5 create the perfect brow. Shade 1 I apply through the brow to just fill in any really sparse areas. This is usually at the start of each brow. 2 is for creating the shape and filling in. I then skip straight to 5 and fill in using the setting wax. Numbers 3 and 4 are highlights for under the eyebrow which I apply after the brow is filled in and complete.

Eyeshadow is my favourite thing to experiment with. For this look I went with my pressed eyeshadows, they are my favourites! So pigmented so they last forever and I have so many gorgeous shades too! Firstly I apply Optimistic. In the inner corner of my eyes to brighten and open up my eyes straight away. Secondly is Hesitant in the first half of my eyelid, followed by Gifted in the otter half. Make sure to blend those too. Gifted is such a lovely deep pink sparkly shade, I love it!Next I apply Fervent through the crease of my lid and blend blend blend!! Lastly I apply Slick in the middle of my lid to create an even more smokey pink look; and it’s more sparkle so that’s even better!! I love the end result!

My dip and draw eyeliner is perfect for every occasion so I apply on my top lash line, just drawing like a pencil. It takes good practise to get it perfect so I keep it simple when it comes to eyeliner. A line with no bumps or wiggles is good for me!

My NEW Waterproof Epic mascara is my ultimate favourite mascara now!! It creates the perfect curl in my lashes, makes then look long and curled and gorgeous. I seriously love it! Also for such a good price compared to other mascaras, I had to give it a try! I’m so glad I did. A couple of coats and such a difference, definitely love it for this look!

Lips are next and wow what a collection I have to choose from now! Lip stains are probably my favourite thing to use now, but because I’ve gone for such a crazy deep eyeshadow I kept it light on the lips with Special Splash liquid lipstick. This light pinky tone really looks great with my skin tone and I love the metallic look too. Great with this makeup look, I think it finished it off very nicely!!

To finish I just sprayed 3-4 sprays of my setting spray to ensure it does last all day!

So here is the finished look, what do you think? A lovely natural pinky day look! 💗💗

I love my new business and the fun new hobby I have. The products I get to try are gorgeous and I love this new opportunity. I’m hopping now I have a routine with it I’ll be able to post more blogs because I have been missing it!

I hope you enjoyed my new makeup look post, first post back!
