My Weekend Makeup Look

Hi everyone! I wanted to show you today my go to makeup look for a weekend. At work I stick to very simple makeup – base, contour and mascara; but on the weekend or my days off I like to wear a little more makeup. It always makes me feel better when I’m wearing a little bit more makeup, eyeshadow, blusher, lipstick! I thought I’d share with you my most recent go to makeup look.

First of all I start off with my primer. ‘Touch Glorious Face Primer.’ This is a very light clear gel that you dab around your face and then lightly rub in. You don’t need that much at all and it covers all of your face. It helps your makeup last all day and as a bonus it smells fantastic!

My new concealer next ‘Touch Mineral Skin Perfecting Concealer.’ This is a little piece of heaven in a bottle! You literally need half a pea size of concealer to cover under your eyes and your blemishes! Amazing! I used my sponge to apply it under my eyes and on my spots and along my nose. This colour really helps to brighten and hide anything unwanted on my face. It lasts all day – with help from the primer, and is the perfect shade for my skin.

Once the concealer is applied I blended the ‘Touch Mineral Liquid Foundation’ all over my face. You only need 4-5 drops on your brush and it is fantastic coverage. The shade I have is ‘Scarlet’ which is the lightest shade Younique do. It blends so well, it smells BEAUTIFUL (like perfume) and with the setting powder which is next , it lasts all day. Liquid Gold!

To finish off the base I set the makeup with my ‘Touch Behold Translucent Setting Powder.’ This is a great product because it’s translucent, it doesn’t add any unwanted colour to your foundation to make you orange, it helps blend in the concealer and foundation and it helps your makeup last all day. It’s easy to apply, using your powder brush to help smooth the white powder around your face.

Onto my eyebrows next and I used my new ‘Moodstruck Brow Obsession Palette.’ This is full of brow powders, brow wax and highlitghters to really help shape and fill in your brows. I used number 1 (top left), to fill in the sparce areas of the start of my brows. Then number 2 is for the second half of your brows, to create shape around the arch. The brows wax is to help set the brow powder. Finally the highlight powders go just underneath the arch of the brow and I apply it ontop too. My brows were amazing after I’d used this product, the shape and colour of them are exactly what I wanted. I like that you can add as little or as much to it as you like.

Bronzing next and I wanted to try out my new bronzer, ‘Beachfront Bronzer’ in shade ‘Sunset.’ This firstly looks incredible, the shade is a glorious bronze with the hint of sparkle too. It really looks like the glow you would get from a lovely day on the beach. Beautiful! I applied it on my cheek bones/just under, along the edges of my forehead and on the sides of my nose. To finish off my cheeks I used my new blusher ‘Moodstruck Minerals Pressed Blusher,’ in shade ‘Scandalous.’ This blush shade is a beautiful red shade. Once applied it looks almost pink but it’s not, it’s definitely red. This is the perfect shade of red for any day out in the sun or even as a hint of colour for work. I applied it just above my cheek bones, which was the perfect way to add a little colour to this look.

My eyeshadow for this look I used Optimistic which is the lightest and brightest shade I have. This means it’s perfect for the inner corner of my eyes to really highlight the area and open up my eyes. Secondly I used ‘Hesitant’ all over my lid, this is a light pink shade that creates a fantastic base for the eyeshadow look I was after. Next up I decided to go with Agile which is a darker purple shade, I applied this through the crease and outer corner of my eye lid, this is to create a smokey eye effect but, with these shadows you don’t need a lot. I just used a tiny amount of shadow and made sure I blended a lot!I also applied this shade under my lower lash line. Finally I applied ‘Slick’ a sparkly pink shade all over my lid to a some sparkle. Love it!

I’ve been using my lash eye serum for a week now and I really think it’s helping, my lashes are looking lush, long and perfect for the Epic mascara! I apply the lash serum and leave it for a minute. Epic mascara is next and I have fallen in love with it! It seriously makes my lashes sooo long, bold, black- amazing! It really makes a difference to my lashes and for a normal day it’s great! But for a weekend look I always think why not add a little something else to make them look even longer, even bolder and amazing, it’s 3D Fibre Lash enhancer! I’ve been using this product for a while now , sometimes I’ll just use Epic mascara, sometimes I’ll just do a couple of coats of 3D Fibre Lash but together my lashes look so long! It’s like wearing fake lashes without the glue and hassle, I love these mascaras!

To finish off my weekend look I’ve been using my new lucrative lip gloss in Lovesick. A beautiful pink shade that’s perfect for spring, keeps my lips feeling fresh and smells great!

What do you think? I’m really loving this look, I usually just change up he eyeshadow here and there when I’m doing different things. The quality of this makeup is outstanding, it stays all day, the shades are so pigmented and beautiful.
