Christmas Day Makeup Look

Happy Christmas Eve everyone! Are you all ready for the big day tomorrow? How exciting!

I wanted to finish off my extra Christmas posts with a Christmas day makeup look, to show you what makeup I’ll be wearing tomorrow. Currently I’m using lots of different brands of makeup, which I really like.

I thought I’d start by showing you my skin care. Liz Earle has been doing wonders for my skin recently. I now use the Hot Cloth Cleanse and Polish after my shower in the morning and after I’ve taken my makeup off in the evening. I then apply the Cleanser once my face once I’ve dried it in the morning and evening after the hot cloth. Then to finish the Liz Earle moisturiser. Also once a week I use the face scrub to really ensure my skin is nice a clear and clean.

So I like to start with my concealer and if you read my Christmas Party Makeup look post you would have seen some of my new makeup products that I’ve been using, including my new Benefit concealer. I now use two concealers, one for brightening under my eyes and one for covering up spots and blemishes. Boi-ing Brightening Concealer under my eyes and Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer for spots and  applied with a sponge to get a great coverage and effect.

Following the concealer it’s my foundation from Estee Lauder Double Wear Light in shade 1.0. This is fantastic and I’ve found it has great coverage and lasts for the majority of the day. It’s a brilliant shade and I also think it’s a great value for money, you only need a very small amount every day so this product should last a very long time! To finish off the base of my makeup I’ve used my L’Oréal translucent powder.

My Smashbox Contour trio pencils were next in this look to shape, bronze and highlight my face. Using the contour and bronzing pencils on my cheeks and forehead and highlighting my nose and under my eyes. Very easy to blend and the perfect shade with my foundation. I also used my Benefit Blushin’ Babe palette to use Sugarbomb for blush to add a little pink colour to my cheeks.

Eyebrows, a big part of my makeup day to day, because I’ve been filling in my eyebrows for such a long time that I think I look weird when they’re not filled in. But thankfully I fitted in an eyebrow tint and wax yesterday so they look great. I find for about a week after getting my brows tinted I don’t need to fill them in because they are fresh and tinted already.

After brows I move onto my eyes. I wanted to use my most used and favourite palette for this look. Of course my Urban Decay Naked Heat palette. I used Ounce, which is the lightest shade for the inside corner, then i used some shades I’ve never used before. I applied Low Blow and Cayenne blended together on the outer half of my eye lid. I added a little En Fuego slightly through the crease of my lid. Then a mix of Scorched and Ember (the darkest shade) blended well on the outside corner.  Making sure that these shades are really well blended because they are quite dark, but blended I think it looks great!

I then used a tiny bit of my Maybelline eyeliner on my top lash line followed by my usual mascara. I applied my L’Oreal mascara as a base for my new 3D Fibre Lash mascara. One of my friends has become a Younique presenter and helps sell ‘Younique’ products through parties etc. Well we met up as a group of friends and tested loads of her makeup and I fell in love with the 3D Fibre lashes. It looks like I’m wearing fake lashes but it’s all real, just some magic mascara. You apply the gel, then the fibres and then the gel on top. You can then apply more than once to get the effect you like. I applied it twice for this look but i think on a normal day to day I’ll only need to apply the once. Great product!

To finally finish off this look I went for one of my MAC lipsticks Yash. Fabulous shade and it goes with this look brilliantly. I love it. With such dark shades on my eyes, i just though that my Kylie Cosmetic lipsticks or my red lipsticks would be a bit too much for this look, so I went simple. I really nice nude lipstick to finish off the look.

I also finish off with a couple of sprays of Urban Decay setting spray to ensure it will stay on all day!

Here’s what my Christmas day look, looks like….

Sorry about the bad lighting, i wanted to show you the sparkles in the eye shadow so I used my selfie light, so that you can hopefully see the shades I’ve used.

I love the lipstick and eyeshadow with this. Also I love my 3D fibre lashes, I’m so glad my friend showed me this product and I can’t wait to start using it everyday.

It’s Christmas Day tomorrow, so Merry Christmas everyone!! I hope you have a wonderful Christmas with your family and friends and I hope you’ve enjoyed my festive posts on the run up to Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!
